Police Ranks in India भारत में पुलिस रैंक –

भारत में पुलिस बलों को सीधे प्रवेश पदों और प्रचार पदों (Promotion) में विभाजित किया गया है। बलों में कर्मियों की संख्या के संदर्भ में भारतीय पुलिस रैंक दुनिया भर में दूसरे स्थान पर है। राज्यों में पुलिस रैंक में पुलिस तंत्र का पदानुक्रम कमोबेश एक जैसा है। भारत में पुलिस रैंक को नीचे दिए गए तरीके से वर्गीकृत किया गया है –

भारतीय पुलिस की भर्ती के लिए चार अलग-अलग स्तर निर्धारित हैं –

• Constabulary
• Upper Sub-ordinate
• SPS (through State Public Service Commission)
• IPS (through Union Public Service Commission)

Constable Police Rank कांस्टेबल –

Constable Police Rank : पुलिस अधिकारी के सबसे निचले पद को कांस्टेबल कहा जाता है, और कुछ स्थानों पर इसे सिपाही के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। यह नाम बहुत समय पहले मुगल काल के दौरान आया था। जिन कांस्टेबलों के पास कम महत्वपूर्ण कार्य होते हैं उनके पास आमतौर पर एक लकड़ी की छड़ी होती है, लेकिन जिनके पास अधिक महत्वपूर्ण कार्य होते हैं उनके पास बंदूक हो सकती है। ये पद उस व्यवस्था का हिस्सा हैं जो कुछ समय पहले अंग्रेजों ने बनाई थी। एक कांस्टेबल वरिष्ठ कांस्टेबल बन सकता है और बाद में हेड कांस्टेबल के पद पर पदोन्नत हो सकता है।

Indian Police Ranks and Insignia हेड कांस्टेबल पद के बाद अगला पद सहायक उप-निरीक्षक (ASI) का होता है। एएसआई का चयन विशिष्ट अधिकारियों द्वारा आयोजित प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं के माध्यम से किया जाता है, और यह प्रक्रिया अलग-अलग राज्यों में अलग-अलग होती है। प्रत्येक राज्य की पुलिस टीम में नियुक्ति का अपना तरीका होता है, जिसमें एएसआई और एसआई को चुनने के लिए परीक्षाएं होती हैं। ये एसआई फिर पदोन्नत होकर पुलिस इंस्पेक्टर (PI) बन सकते हैं। इन पदों का क्रम इस प्रकार है –
